Fox’s Flawless Plan is a side quest in Of Ash and Steel. In this quest, you need to find three stash locations hidden near the abandoned building and escape the Fox’s trap. Be careful and come prepared, as there will be a lot of enemies here. In the end, you will get to choose to keep the loot or share it with the Fox. The Fox’s Flawless Plan Quest
As you travel along the road, you will run into a man named Fox camping by the side. He tells you about a stash that smugglers supposedly left behind and asks for your help recovering it. If your INS is 6 or higher, you can agree to help while also negotiating for half of the loot.
Once you accept, Fox will lead the way down the path to an abandoned village. When you arrive, he will ask you to search three different spots, each one being a possible location where the stash might be hidden.
Where to find the Three Stashes
The first stash is inside one of the buildings close to where Fox is standing. The second stash can be found in a small house on the right side. The third and final stash is hidden in the stables, inside the abandoned village.
Once you bring back all three stashes, Fox will say they aren’t what he was actually looking for. He then claims he can open a locked house nearby. If you follow him inside, he will suddenly lock you in.
How to Escape the Fox’s Confinement
To get out, turn right, and you will find a box and a sack with a note inside. Pick up the box and carry it into the next room. Place it next to the broken stairs and use it to climb up. From there, you can escape through the window.
Find the Fox
Just keep following the directions Nerest gave you to reach Grayshaft. Go through the abandoned village, cross the wooden bridge, and then follow the sign ahead. When you spot a wooden tower hanging off the edge of a cliff, take the left path across the bridge.
Over there, you will find Fox under attack by a few enemies. Take them out first, then talk to him. After that, you can choose whether to abide by the original deal or take everything for yourself.

- After you find all the stashes, Fox will tell you that these are not the stashes he wanted. He will trick you into entering a house and will trap you inside.
