Silph Scope is a key item in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen that allows you to reveal the true form of Ghost in the Pokémon Tower, which is located in Lavender Town. This is a mandatory Key Item for story progression. Here’s a detailed guide on how you can get the Silph Scope:

Where to Find Silph Scope
Step 1: Reach Celadon City
You will find the Silph Scope in Celadon City. To reach Celadon City from Lavender Town:
- Go West to Route 8.
- In the Top-Left corner of Route 8, you will find an underground path.
- Use said path and travel to its end.
- Exit the underground part, and you will reach Route 7.
- Go just a bit more east from Route 7 to reach Celadon City.

Step 2: The Rocket Game Corner

There is a secret hideout of Team Rocket inside the Game Corner. To enter the hideout:
- Enter the game corner.
- Go to the top of the room.
- You will find a Team Rocket grunt and interact with him. This will trigger a battle.
- After defeating him, interact with the poster.
- This will open the hidden entrance to the Rocket Hideout.

Step 3: Clear the Rocket Hideout
Rocket Hideout is a multi-leveled maze where you have to find and defeat Giovanni. To find him:
- Using stairs, move down to level B3F.
- In B3F, follow the path shown below and go to B4F.

- Fight any grunts you see, and interact with the Pokéball on the top corner. You will get the Lift key.
- Go back to B1F, use the lift, and go to B4F using the lift. (Lift will take you to a different section of B4F)
- Here you will find Giovanni. Defeat him to obtain the Silph Scope.

Giovanni’s Team
During this fight, Giovanni will use the following Pokémon:
- Onix Level 25
- Rhyhorn Level 24
- Kangaskhan Level 29
His team contains two Ground/Rock-type Pokémon, along with Normal-type Kangaskhan. Use a Grass/Water-type Pokémon along with a Fighting-type Pokémon for this battle.

Now you can return to Lavender Town, and with the help of the Silph Scope, you can now fight the “Ghost” at the Pokémon Tower. Ghosts are revealed as Gastly, Haunter, or Cubone. Obtaining Silph Scope is part of the Main story; you can’t skip this. While you are at the tower, you can catch a Gastly or a Haunter, which can evolve into Gengar, one of the best Pokémon in the game.
