The Ask Your Mother side quest in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check starts with some graffiti marks and then turns into a scavenger hunt at the campsite, where players must track bloody footprints, see familiar places, and find out who the person is, vandalizing with these poems. This guide will assist you in completing the Ask Your Mother quest, including unlocking it, tracking down each of the six graffiti poems in chronological order, and completing the final encounter.
Quest Start Requirements
You must complete 7 days in the main campaign before you can unlock the Ask Your Mom Quest, which becomes available when you start Day 8.
How the Quest Works
The Ask Your Mom Quest does not become available until after your first interaction with the graffiti; you cannot continue with this quest until you interact with it using E.
As soon as you have collected the first part of the poem from the graffiti tile, you will see bloody footprints on the ground. If you want to find where the next poem is located, use your flashlight to illuminate the ground and follow the bloody footprints to the location of the next poem.
If you miss the correct path of the bloody footprints, simply return to the last poem you collected and follow the bloody footprints to get back to the location of the poem. Bloody footprints point directly toward the location of the next poem.
You must find all the poems in a fixed order and interact with them using E to complete the quest.

All Six Locations for Graffiti Poetry in Order
The following six locations are listed in the correct order, along with ways to find them:
Poem 1 – Knows it all, starts every fight
Wall at Command Center
You can find this graffiti directly opposite your sleeping area. You will need to interact with it to initiate the quest.

Poem 2 – Yells like justice is his right!
Wall of Blue Porta-Potty in Storage and Garage Area
Continue following the bloody footprints to the garage area to locate Poem 2. It is located next to the wall with the blue porta-potty that is closest to the main entrance.

Poem 3 – His tent is clean, but mind’s a mess
Laboratory White Box
To find the Laboratory, use the Footprints as your guide. The Poem is painted onto the side of a white storage facility in the vicinity of the Laboratory.

Poem 4 – A zombie queen in mom’s old dress!
Back of Sleeping Container
Once you have located Poem 3, begin the journey back to your Sleeping Quarters. When returning to the container from which you started (the back), you will see the graffiti that is located here.

Poem 5 – Can’t stop gossip, what a show!
Guard Tower / Liquidation Junction
Continue following the Footprints to the Liquidation/Guard Tower Junction after locating Poem 4. You will discover this Poem after taking the stairs in the guard tower.

Poem 6 – Still mommy’s darling, ol’ Abe Crow!
Crossroads Wall Near Laboratory Sign
The last Poem is found at the junction that connects all of the central Crossroads through the mill. Look for the Poem on the wall of cinder blocks under the “Laboratory” sign at the Crossroad Junction.

After All Six Poems Have Been Collected
Once you have collected all six poems in order:
- Go back to Abe Crow in the Storage Area; he will now be present with a quest arrow above his head.
- You will ask him how the culprit got paint for his graffiti, which will lead to the next step of this quest.
- Now, go to the Survivor’s Block to examine the survivors. However, look for one with obvious splashes of paint on their clothes, as this is the suspect.
- Once you find them, you will interact with the suspect to complete this quest, which allows you to choose either to turn them in or accept their bribe of $1000.
- Picking any of these options will complete the quest.
