If you’ve been having a hard time defeating this absolute unit of a boss, don’t worry, we’ve got you. In this guide, we will show you everything you need to follow to defeat Beloth, who has been causing much discomfort to gamers around the world.
How to Unlock Beloth Boss Fight
To unlock this boss fight, you first need to finish Chapter 6 of the main story quest, Cracks in the Shield. After that, if you head to the marked location, you’ll be greeted unwelcomingly by the one and only Beloth tyrannizing in the Hoenmark Ruins.

Build Tips
Ice Resistance Gear
Use whatever gear you can find that has Ice Resistance. Beloth really likes to freeze you to death. To prevent that, use gear that has higher Ice resistance stats, like Hernand Cermonial Guard Cloak, which you can find in the Contributions Store in Hernand Castle. The Canta Plate Helm, which you’ll come across early on in the game, is pretty useful in terms of Ice Resistance too.

Two-Handed Weapons
Weapons like Hwando can be very useful to fight against Beloth, as they can deal impressive damage, and you can also embed different Abyss Gears like Crow’s Pursuit from Tauria Curve Sword into Hwando by going to the Witch’s Hut to strengthen your weapon even more.

Consumables
Even with all the Ice Resisted Gear you can gather, Beloth will still be able to temporarily freeze you for some time, during which you’ll be dealing Passive Damage from cold. So it is suggested that you take as much Food as you can to keep up your health while fighting against him. You can either cook them yourself or buy them from Vendors or from the Hernand Tavern. Just make sure you’ve got plenty of food to restore your health.

Understanding Beloth
Freezing Mechanic
Aside from Beloth’s freezing ability, the environment of the boss fight is also against us, so you will freeze momentarily during the fight. You can reduce its stretch with all the suggested gear, but it is inevitable. When you get frozen, spam the Sprint button to shake off the effect; while affected, you will see your Stamina will be depleted, and your Health will be draining slightly. This is where the Food you packed becomes a lifesaver. In the arena, you will find large pillars; use them to your advantage to give yourself some space and cover while healing yourself.

Beloth’s Combos
You need to be careful of Beloth’s attack patterns because he can absolutely one-shot you to oblivion. His 1st Combo consists of rapid Flurry attacks followed by an Ice Slam attack, which will cause a good deal of damage.

His 2nd Combo is similar, but instead of Slamming, he will take out his Spear to kill you with just one hit.

These are two of his important attack patterns aside from a few smaller ones, and you would definitely want to avoid getting stuck between his combos.
Don’t get too far
If you get too far away from Beloth or if you shoot arrows from far away, Beloth will teleport over you and kill you with his Teleport Combo to one-shot you. So try to stay in proximity while maintaining a safe distance to not get caught in his Combos.
How to Defeat Beloth?
Keep your guard up
With all the preliminaries aside, now you have to face Beloth head-on. Just when you spawn in the fight, use the Pillars present in the Arena to your advantage and hide behind them. When he attacks the pillars the ice around them would break off, and you would have more space to move around. Circle around the pillar until he finishes his combo, then use Heavy attacks(Right Trigger) to deal damage to him, by peeking out of cover, then immediately roll back. Continue doing this to proceed safely in the fight.

Beware of the combos
Ice Slam
When Beloth uses his Ice Slam, this will emanate ice crystals from the surface.

If you try to hit him after this attack too many times, he will teleport and counterattack you. To prevent this, hit him 1-2 times and roll back to safety.
Spear Attack
When Beloth takes out his Spear, it is the most optimal time to land combos on him and deal huge damage to him.

Hit him 4-5 times and roll back to cover. Keep on repeating the prior steps to keep attacking him safely and to prevent him from landing any heavy attacks on you.
Beloth’s Stamina
Keep a close eye on the Daze meter (the yellow meter below the Health Bar) of Beloth. Whenever he uses his Heavy Combos, it comes at the expense of his Daze Bar getting higher. When it reaches its limit, he will be stunned, and you will have the rare opportunity to land multiple combos on him in quick succession.

With all that being said, the guide reaches its finish line here. The rest is up to you, fellow soldier. Use all the knowledge and test your skills to defeat Beloth once and for all!
