How to Chop and Deliver Firewood
Chopping and delivering firewood is a job you can do in My Winter Car, just like in My Summer Car. You will usually get a phone call from Livaloinen or other people from Alivieska asking if you can deliver firewood. To do jobs for Livaloinen, you first need to buy the Corris Rivett from him.
Chopping the Firewood
Chopping wood works differently in My Winter Car. Instead of using an axe on a chopping block, you now use a mounted firewood cutter attached to the Kekmet tractor.
Attach the cutter to the tractor’s drive shaft. Pick up a log and hold it near the cutter’s opening to attach it. When the blade has a gap, left-click to feed the log in. The cutter will slice the log into firewood and drop the pieces straight into the trailer.
The faster the tractor’s RPM, the quicker the logs get chopped. Each long log gives you 12 pieces of firewood, and you will need 14 full logs to reach the required 160 pieces to fill the trailer.
Delivering the Firewood
Once the trailer is full, drive to the house of the person who called you. Their location will be marked on the map with a dart.
Back the trailer onto the gravel area in front of the house and open the rear hatch. Increase the tractor’s RPM using the hand throttle, then use the rear hydraulics lever to lift the trailer bed. Make sure the firewood falls onto the green tarpaulin, or very close to it. If the wood lands on the ground instead, you won’t get paid.
After unloading, the homeowner will pay you 3,200 mk. Residents are usually outside their houses between 08:00 and 22:00. Some known delivery spots include the Strawberry Farm, the house near the Peräjärvi bus stop, Livaloinen’s house, and the house between the hay bale farm and Ventti’s driveway.
Don’t deliver firewood if no one is standing outside the house. If you unload at the wrong place or time, you won’t get paid, and you will have to refill the trailer and wait even longer for another job offer.
How to Start Your First Job
You can start your first firewood job by calling Livaloinen at 08-609553 and then buying the Corris Rivett from him for 500 mk. When you visit his house and buy the car, he will give you your first delivery job. Alternatively, you can simply wait, and Livaloinen may call you himself with a job offer.
