How to Unlock Key Limes
To unlock Key Limes, turn on the water in the Veggie Garden and Green House area. Find the Key Lime Tree Seed inside the Green House. Now, restore the power in the pumpkin patch and go back to the Green House and use the Hand Scanner to plant the tree. Once you plant the tree, the Key Lime Tree will grow fully in about 30 seconds.
After the tree grows, climb the tree with the help of your buggy. Once you are climbing the tree, your buggy will not follow you due to the heat lamp. Once you unlock the archives, you will have the ability to grow the Key Limes in the Hydroponic farm. This will make it easier for you as you will not be climbing the tree.
How to Harvest Key Limes
At the top of the tree, you will find the Key Limes. You can shoot them with the arrow or drop onto them and knock them out. You will need a tier-3 axe to harvest the Key Limes. Once a Line falls down, chip it with the axe. Each Lime drops 3-6 key Lime Chunks. You need Key Limes to craft Sour Bangers. Which are special bombs used to remove black goo blocking the door and objects.
