In this guide, you will learn how to find the Mystical key, the Alchemist Chamber it unlocks, which is one of the treasure locations in the game, along with being your first gateway to the Abyss.
How to find the Mystical Key:
To enter the Hernand castle, you’ll need to find Hernandian clothes and a mystical key to open the special door inside the castle. Without Hernandian attire, guards will forbid you from passing through the castle gate. You can either buy Hernandian Attire from the Tailor or complete the Action Speak Louder Than Words quest. This Mystical Key also secures one of the Treasure locations in the game. Follow this guide to find the Mystical Key
Speak with the Child:
In the quest Heart Beyond Borders, in Chapter 1, The First Encounter of the main storyline, head to the marked quest location by following your mini map to meet the child.
Upon arriving at that location Rulupee, the child will request you to bring down the cat stuck on the roof. Climb up the house and grab the cat to take it back to the child.
Rulupee will invite Kliff to her kingdom as a gesture of appreciation for his kindness, before vanishing.
Take the Mystical Key:
The child will leave 2 important quest items, the Mystical key and Shai’s pendant, which will be important later in the game, but for now, let’s concentrate on the treasure that lies beyond the door this key opens and continue towards the Castle.
What lies beyond the door:
If you have Hernandian Attire equipped, then you will be able to enter the Castle. After entering, if you follow the Quest marker in the mini map, it will guide you up a flight of stairs, into a closed Hallway. Open the first gate on your left, which is the Alchemist’s chamber; it will be unlocked as you now have the Mystical Key in your Inventory.
This chamber contains one of the many Treasure Chests scattered across the Map. After opening the Treasure Chest inside, you will notice a portal to another dimension opening through the chamber’s wall. This gateway will lead you to the first of many puzzles in the Abyss.
