Where to Find the Good Rod
Step 1: Reach Fuchsia City
The Good Rod is located in Fuchsia City. To enter Fuchsia City, you need the Poké Flute. You can get Poké Flute by rescuing Mr. Fuji from the Pokémon Tower. To reach Fuchsia City, you can use one of the following paths:
Path 1 – The Cycling Road:
- From Celadon City, go west to the Cycling Road.
- Via the Cycling Road, move South till you reach Fuchsia City.
Path 2 – Via Route 12
- From Lavender Town, travel south via Route 12
- Move south till you reach Route 13.
- From Route 13, go west, passing Route 13 and 15, and you will reach Fuchsia City.

Step 2: Find the Fishing Guru’s Older Brother
- In Fuchsia City, locate the house specified in the map above.
- Go inside and speak to the Fishing Guru’s Older Brother.
- He will give you the Good Rod.
