The MAR-9 “Phantom” Assault Rifle is a reliable weapon in StarRupture if you want more firepower while exploring Arcadia-7. Getting it isn’t difficult, as you will need to earn enough War Bonds to unlock it. This guide will tell you how to unlock the rifle, craft its ammo, and collect all the materials you will need to use it.

How to Get the MAR-9 “Phantom” Assault Rifle

The MAR-9 Phantom is a rifle you can unlock by spending 70 War Bonds at the Equipment Upgrade Station. Once you’ve unlocked it, you will be able to use standard ammo for this weapon. To craft its ammo, you will need 9 Basic Building Materials and 2 Wolfram Powder.

How to Get the Wolfram Powder

To make Wolfram Powder, you will first need to process Wolfram Ore. You will need to put the ore into a Smelter, which turns it into Wolfram Bars. Once you have the bars, use a Furnace to convert them into Wolfram Powder. You can find Wolfram Ore by mining the large deposits of orange-colored metal on the map. It can also drop from small orange rocks or from meteors.

How to get Basic Building Materials

Basic Building Material is a resource you will find in the game. It’s an ore-based material that’s mainly used with the Building Tool to place and construct structures. You can make Basic Building Materials using either the Basic Item Printer or the Fabricator. Both work the same way; each craft gives you 10 Basic Building Materials and requires 1 Titanium Ore and 1 Wolfram Ore.

How to Get the War Bonds

You can get War Bonds as you play the game. The easiest method is by levelling up the Griffits Blue Corporation, but you can also find them while exploring the world. Check fallen enemies, search through abandoned settlements, and keep an eye out for hidden chests found around the Arcadia-7. They often contain War Bonds as well.
