Kilju is one of the easiest ways to make money in My Winter Car. You need to know how to brew and sell it. You need to mix the right ingredients to ferment it faster and sell it to Jouko for the best price. There are a few important things to keep in mind. This guide will walk you through how Kilju works, how to make high-quality batches, and how to sell them.
Kilju in My Winter Car
A kilju bottle is something you get by dipping an empty juice container into a bucket of finished kilju. You can either drink it yourself or sell it to Jouko to earn some money. When you drink a bottle of kilju, your character will get drunk. How drunk you get depends on how long the kilju was left to ferment after brewing.
How to Make Kilju
To make kilju, you need a bucket filled with water, at least 4 sugar packs, and 1 yeast. If you want the best result, use 6 sugars and 1 yeast. The kilju will ferment faster if you place the bucket next to a radiator and turn the heat up to 30.
After you sell the kilju to Jouko, the empty bottles don’t disappear. You can find them later at the landfill site. If you don’t see them right away, check around the outhouse or the nearby hills.
How to Sell Kilju
You can sell kilju to Jouko, your neighbour who lives in a townhouse in the village. He’s easy to recognise because he wears turquoise sweatpants and a beanie. Jouko is usually at home in the evening, and you can carry the kilju to him using any vehicle that has enough space.
To sell the kilju, place a bottle on the table next to Jouko and wait for him to take a sip. The money in his hand will go up with each bottle you sell, so you don’t have to collect the cash after every single one.
After selling 3 bottles, Jouko will ask you to drink one with him before he buys more. After that, he may ask you to drink again every 1 to 5 bottles. You won’t get paid for the bottles you drink, and it’s safe to drink up to three good-quality bottles before your character passes out.
If the kilju is brewed properly, you can earn up to 170 MK per bottle. If you use only 5 sugar packs instead of 6, the price drops to around 130 MK per bottle.
