How to Unlock a Gun in StarRupture

Getting your first gun in StarRupture takes a bit of time, but it’s not difficult once you know what to do. You will need to work with a corporation, gather the right resources, and earn Data Points by exploring the world. This guide will tell you how to unlock the UPP-7 Pistol, craft ammo and level up with the Griffits Blue Corporation.

    How to Unlock a Gun

The UPP-7 Pistol becomes available once you reach level 2 in the Griffits Blue Corporation. This weapon uses its own type of ammo. After unlocking the pistol, you can craft its ammunition at the Basic Printer in your Habitat. Each batch gives you 10 Pistol Ammo, and you will need 7 Basic Building Materials to craft it.

How to get Basic Building Materials

Basic Building Material is a resource you will find in the game. It’s an ore-based material that’s mainly used with the Building Tool to place and construct structures. You can make Basic Building Materials using either the Basic Item Printer or the Fabricator. Both work the same way; each craft gives you 10 Basic Building Materials and requires 1 Titanium Ore and 1 Wolfram Ore.

How to reach Level 2 in Griffits Blue Corporation

To increase level 2 in Griffits Blue Corporation, you will need to earn data points. To earn Data Points in StarRupture, you will need to explore and interact with the world in the game. You can scan organic samples and alien technology at the Analysing Station, which is one of the main ways to get points. While exploring ruins left behind by drones or colonists, you should look out for the Broken Pieces of Technology, as these are valuable.

You can also get Data Points by sending materials through the Orbital Cargo Launcher. Rare resources like Ignitium and Meteorite Cores will get more data points if you find them after exploring solar flare zones. Once you’ve collected enough Data Points, you can give them to corporations to increase your level or spend them at the Recipe Station to unlock new items and upgrades.
