Naruto’s story is full of moments where he surprises everyone by becoming stronger instantly. From his very first time using Nine-Tails power to finally being able to use god-like powers, these events showed his journey from being a weak, unnoticed child to one of the mightiest ninjas ever. These moments aren’t just about power; they show Naruto’s growth, courage, and never-give-up attitude. Here are Naruto’s top 10 most overpowered moments, ranked.
Naruto’s top 10 OP moments
The most overpowered moments of Naruto usually show power-ups, jutsu, and occasions when he managed to defeat powerful enemies. These moments show Naruto’s true power and the reason why he is considered a true hero.
Nine-tailed form against Haku

Naruto, during the Land of Waves arc, loses his temper when he thinks Haku has killed Sasuke. The shock and anger pushed him to his limit, and for the first time, a small part of the Nine-Tails’ chakra came out. Naruto’s eyes go red, the marks on his face become darker, and his whole body is covered in red chakra. In an instant, his strength, speed, and aggression increased.
He runs directly towards the Demonic Ice Mirrors, which looked impossible before, and overpowers Haku. Zabuza, who is watching the whole thing, is amazed. He realises that the ninja in front of him is hiding a power that no one has seen.
First Rasengan vs Kabuto

Naruto’s first successful Rasengan against Kabuto was a turning point in the series. During the fight, Naruto steps in to protect Tsunade and gives everything he has into forming the Rasengan, even though it’s still incomplete and unstable. In spite of Kabuto’s great medicinal skill, Naruto still gets to hit him.
The hit completely surprises Kabuto, leaving him shocked and cutting off the fight between him and Jiraiya. The attack showed just how dangerous the Rasengan is, even in its early form. On the other hand, the technique is not yet fully mastered, and Naruto’s arm gets severely wounded as a result of his use of the jutsu. Kabuto is saved by his medical skills, but the episode makes one thing clear: Naruto has reached a new level with a powerful technique, and his growth as a ninja.
4 tails form against Orochimaru

At the Tenchi Bridge fight, Orochimaru was completely beaten by the Four-Tails form of Naruto. The chakra of the Tailed Beast had pushed the limits of Orochimaru’s regeneration and body replacement techniques. Though he used all his experience and tricks, Orochimaru could not manage to keep up with Naruto.
Orochimaru’s body was destroyed, and he was fired off by a Tailed Beast Bomb because of Naruto’s super-powerful strikes. While Orochimaru was able to survive using his advanced healing and escape jutsu, he was defeated and had to retreat.
This battle proved just how powerful the Four-Tails form was. Naruto had nearly killed a Sannin’s life with physical force, showing that this form has a lot of destructive power and could break through many of Orochimaru’s strongest abilities.
Sage mode during the Pain fight

Sage Mode was very important for Naruto during his fight with Pain. The transformation provided Naruto with power, quickness, and awareness, allowing him to sense attacks and fight at a completely different level. Through the use of extremely powerful techniques such as Sage Art: Rasenshuriken and Frog Kata, Naruto was able to defeat five bodies of Pain from the six.
Naruto lost the fight when Preta Path absorbed his Sage Chakra. It was only when Hinata stepped in that Naruto used Kurama’s chakra to continue to fight. The power of the Nine-Tails could withstand the Deva Path’s Shinra Tensei. This fight proved that although Naruto gained more power through Sage Mode, that was not the case when he faced the chakra absorption method. Yet, it was still allowed for Naruto to face Pain.
Naruto perfects the Shuriken Rasengan and uses it against the masked Akatsuki

Naruto was able to throw a Rasengan towards the masked Akatsuki leader, who was known as Tobi. The blow not only broke his mask but also showed his identity for the first time to the world, and it turned out that he was none other than the long-dead Obito Uchiha.
Until that point, Tobi appeared to be almost invincible on the battlefield due to his Kamui technique. This power allowed him to make parts of his body phase out of reality by sending them to another dimension, letting attacks pass straight through him. However, the situation was different after Kakashi knew that his Kamui was similar to Tobi’s. Therefore, anything that was sent to the Kamui dimension could reach Tobi while he was using his phasing ability.
Naruto, taking advantage of this, came up with a clever plan. He formed a shadow clone, and at the same time, with Kakashi’s help, that clone was transported to the Kamui dimension. Tobi made his mistake of thinking that he could safely pass through a Tailed Beast Ball waiting for him in the real world, not knowing what was on the other side.
And Naruto’s clone was right there, waiting. He threw a Rasengan on Tobi’s face, dealing a strong blow and breaking his mask, revealing Tobi’s true identity and shocking everyone when they realised he was Kakashi’s long-lost teammate, Obito Uchiha.
Naruto perfects Rasengan and uses it against Obito

The fight was at an important point, and Naruto went into Sage Mode, preparing a Sage Rasengan. Tobirama, at the same time, used his Flying Raijin and instantly appeared behind Obito. Obito was focused on Tobirama, so he didn’t see Naruto coming.
With all his effort, Naruto sent the Sage Rasengan directly at Obito. The blow hurt him, making it one of the first times Obito received serious injuries during the war. However, he was very quick to recover thanks to his White Zetsu side and Hashirama cell.
This incident also showed the progress made by Naruto. He worked on the Rasengan for a long time and got so good that he didn’t need a shadow clone for it anymore. He even showed that he could make a one-handed Rasengan while in Nine-Tails Chakra Mode.
Sharing Kurama’s Chakra with the Entire Alliance

In the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto performed a feat that none had thought of previously. He spread the chakra of Kurama across the whole Allied Shinobi Forces. All at once, thousands of ninjas became covered in chakra cloaks, and their power, speed, healing and toughness all were up to the maximum. Kurama’s incredible bond with Naruto was the reason behind this.
As a result, the Alliance not only fought off but actually managed to hold their ground against the Ten-Tails and Madara. He was no longer simply the one fighting for others; he was the one giving power to others, thus displaying not only his true growth but also winning the strong, mutual trust of the Nine-Tails.
Six Paths Sage Mode Awakening

At the time of the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto attained a higher level when he got chakra from the Tailed Beasts. Shortly thereafter, Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki made his appearance and, through passing it on to Naruto, recognised him as worthy of Six Paths Sage power; thus, he was granted the power of the Six Paths Sage.
Initially, Naruto was only using the basic form of the Six Paths Sage Mode, which did not have the orange Sage lines on his face and body. Gradually, he mixed this ability with that of Kurama Chakra Mode, thus creating a far stronger combined form that is frequently referred to as KCM3 or Six Paths Sage Mode with Kurama.
This form came with incredible abilities. Naruto could sense things that existed in other dimensions. He could use Truth-Seeking Balls, which were orbs of pure chakra that had the ability to block and erase almost any ninjutsu. He could also fly, heal injuries and control all five chakra natures plus Yin, Yang, and Yin-Yang Release completely. And besides, his physical strength, speed, and power in ninjutsu also increased.
Naruto vs Kaguya

Kaguya was a very dangerous opponent because of her power and her ability to travel between dimensions on her own. She completely overpowered and displayed her power the moment she came in front of Team 7. Among her abilities, the All-Killing Ash Bones is the one that made her almost impossible to fight.
The adult Naruto in Boruto is way more powerful than his Shippuden version, and in his fight against Momoshiki, he might even be able to take Kaguya down in direct combat. Still, many fans continue to see Kaguya as stronger due to her power and skills. The main thing is that Naruto did not win the war against Kaguya alone. It was a team effort, especially with Sasuke and their Six Paths powers, that helped them to lock her away.
Baryon Mode vs Isshiki

The Baryon Mode of Naruto completely changed the battle with Isshiki. The hits Naruto struck in this form not only caused damage but also took the life of Isshiki. Although Isshiki still has great strength and speed, his life is being gradually consumed with every hit.
The downside of it was that Baryon Mode was very risky. It was not a power that Naruto could use for a long time. The form needed life force as a source of energy; thus, at the same time, Kurama was almost fully drained of his power. In the end, Isshiki didn’t lose because he was underpowered; he lost due to the lack of time.
