The journey towards the end of Chapter 5 will bring you to the Spire of Soaring. This is one of the best places in the game and reaching the summit is just the beginning of the real trial : entering the Abyss to face off against the chapter’s Final Boss Crowcaller. If you’ve been struggling to decode the Spire’s mechanics or getting overwhelmed by the boss, this guide has got you covered. I’m gonna be breaking down the full puzzle solutions for the Spire and provide you tactics for defeating the Crowcaller.
Activating Spire of Soaring

After you reach the Spire of Soaring, you can notice that we can’t enter the spire through the front entrance since it’s blocked by broken doors. From the entrance turn right and go below.

Once you descend the bottom, you’ll spot a cave entrance. Follow the path inside to reach the spire’s base. You’ll find a massive fan directly situated beneath the vent, simply stand on the vent, jump and deploy your Abyss Wings to gain altitude.
Eventually, you’ll reach a floating platform that acts as an elevator. Step off onto the side ledge. You’ll need to solve the puzzle to activate the lift and continue your ascend.

On one side of the wall, you’ll see the stone structure similar to the ones we encountered on our first abyss quest, the solution for this remains the same as in the first abyss encounter. But, there won’t be any indication for which direction the stones must be rotated. To know which direction they must be rotated, you must use Blinding Light skill which will reveal the path the energy will be flowing, rotating them accordingly will get you to the next step of the puzzle.

Similarly, you have to repeat the process on the giant circle as well, doing so will activate the lift. And now comes the part where I say it’s the best place in the game.
Best Viewpoint in the Game

After you’ve completed the Spire of Soaring quest, the lift continues to advance to the top. This is by far one of the best Viewpoints in the game, you can see from the Peaks of Pailune to the subterranean Depths of Delesyia. It’s a long way up, you might as well enjoy the view.
Activating the Skybridge

Once you’ve reached the abyss, make sure to step on the Abyss Nexus to activate the checkpoint. From there, locate the glowing orb as shown in the first image. As you can see in the second picture, the orb is emitting an array of light.

From there, turn right and you can see a path up to the second glowing orb. Follow the path up using Aerial Force Palm skill to reach the orb in order to activate it. Once there, use the Grapple skill to activate the orb and change its light direction.

From there, follow the path to the left to reach the final orb. Stay alert of the blue flowers/ plants throughout the path as these are hazardous. After activating the final orb, cross over to the opposite side.
Fixing the Broken Wire Connections

There are two broken wire connections, fixing them will restore the power to the large ring. Upon activation, backtrack to the large ring, climb onto the ring and use Force Palm skill.

Then make your way to the top and go through the right portal. Going through the portal will activate a structure, using Grappling on it and turning the dial will result in Activating the Skybridge.
Path to the Nest

After activating the Skybridge, follow the path which will lead to the nest. Make sure to the fan to gain altitude and navigate in the air using Abyss Wings.

There is a teleportation portal at the end of Skybridge which will teleport you to the boss arena.
How to Defeat Crowcaller – Crimson Desert

Crowcaller is a formidable Boss. I may guide you on how to defeat him but it would still require a subsequent amount of skill. The main skills that you have to concentrate on are Parry, Dodge, Spinning Slash and Turning Slash.

You should always try to dodge his attacks, you can also try parry but the timing is very important and crowcaller tends to attack continuously and if you fail to parry on time, it will be a barrage of attacks. And try to use skills like Turning Slash as this deals massive damage.

At some point of the fight Crowcaller gets into this stance and jumps into the air and does charge attacks multiple times. You can try to dodge them but I prefer to use Aerial Force Palm to gain altitude and then use Abyss Wings to slowly descend and while I’m in the air, I use Spirit Harvest skill to collect spirits before I land on the ground, since we need spirits to use skills like Turning Slash.
There are Three Phases to this boss, so carry enough food for heals. Don’t be discouraged if you can’t defeat him, it took me several tries, lots of food and pills to defeat him.
