Starsand Island Profession Guide – How to Unlock All Professions

In Starsand Island, professions are the backbone of your progression. There are five professions in the game. Each profession has its own unique quests and rewards. All five of these professions can be pursued within one playthrough. Here is a step-by-step guide to find all the mentors and start your jobs.

What Are Professions?

 In Starsand Island, you have five different professions you can take part in: crafting, farming, fishing, ranching, and exploring. You can do all of these in a single playthrough, so there is no need to sweat over deciding a single career path.

In order to start the career path for their chosen profession, you must first find the appropriate mentor NPC associated with that profession, who initiates you into a quest. Once that quest has been completed, you will receive access to the Workpedia mobile app, where you can exchange Starsand Points for upgrading various skills associated with improving your performance on the job.

The Five Professions & Mentors

Starsand Island has five professions, each of which offers distinct roles, progression, and rewards:

1. Crafter
   • Allows you to craft advance tools and utility items.
   • Mentor: Zerine
     
2. Farmer
   • Enhances farming skills like planting, watering, and harvesting crops.
   • Mentor: Graminova
     
3. Angler 
   • Provides you with a fishing rod that allows you to fish.
   • Mentor: Delphin
     
4. Rancher
   • Let’s you raise animals like rabbits and chickens, these animals help you manage your home efficiently.
   • Mentor: Pastelle
     
5. Explorer
   • Opens up the resource-rich zones and includes combat and mining for advanced crafting materials.
   • Mentor: Zephyria
     

Unlocking & Developing Your Profession

Location of Mentors

1. Zerine- 

You can find her in Zerine’s General Store, which is located to the North-East of your home. After talking to her, she will task you with making a skateboard and meeting a character called Neona. When you finally visit Zerine again after meeting with Neona, you earn the Apprentice Crafter Certificate.

2. Graminova-

Graminova will be working at his farm near the Starsand Town center. Meeting him will begin his quest, where you are required to grow wheat and then sell it. Once you complete the quest, you are awarded the  Apprentice Farmer Certificate.

3. Delphin-

Delphin can be found in the southeast part of the island. He will give you a fishing rod and ask you to catch three fish. After catching the fish, meet him again, and you will be awarded the  Apprentice Angler Certificate.

4. Pastelle-

You can find Pastelle in the Green Meadow region. She will be at the ranch. Once you meet her, she will task you with building a Rabbit Hutch in your house and getting some rabbits in that hutch. After building and domesticating the rabbit, you need to collect their wool and meet an NPC named Lunelle. Once you have completed the quest, you will be awarded the Apprentice Rancher Certificate.

5. Zephyria

Zephyria is found in the area between the green meadow and the flower corridor. Meet him to start his quest, and he will give you a slingshot, which is required to enter Moonlit Forest and can also be used as a weapon. So use the slingshot, enter the forest, and complete his quest. Completing this quest will give you the Apprentice Explorer Certificate.

Using Workpedia

Workpedia is an app in the Tab, where you can view your profession levels and also spend any earned Starsand Points. Each of the different professions has a skill tree that allows you to invest in it to improve efficiency, yield of materials, and provide additional bonuses to players. You can only obtain additional advanced skills if you have invested more Starsand and have completed the quests that are needed to get to that point.

Professions play a major role in Starsand Island’s gameplay. How well you can survive, earn, and explore depends on working on professions, completing quests, and spending Starsand Points on skills. Mastery of the Professions system is critical for game progression.
