So, you finally made it to the ARK facility. You probably came across Sterilization Chamber Safe along with Licker zombies, which turned the game into a stealth-horror masterclass.
Resident Evil Requiem has some juicy ways for puzzles. I played through this section and let me tell you – you just need to know where to look. If you’re currently crouched in the dark corner of this room wondering how on earth you’re supposed to open that safe while two Lickers are literally listening for your heartbeat, I’ve got you covered.
The Sterilization Chamber Safe Location
Upon reaching the depths of ARK, make your way to the first Save Room past the Dump Control Room, from there follow the passage and eventually you will reach the Sterilization Chamber which has a safe.

If you don’t want the stress of finding the code or If you’re low on health and just want the loot so you can get out of there alive, here are the numbers:
- Casual / Normal Mode: 10 Right, 90 Left, 20 Right
Is the risk worth it?
Absolutely. Playing as Grace means your inventory is basically always empty, and you’re usually one or two hits away from a “You are Dead” screen. Opening this safe is one of the few ways to actually feel powerful in the early game. Inside, you’ll find a massive haul:
- 1x Med Injector: This is a full-health recovery item. In Requiem, these are incredibly rare compared to standard herbs, making this safe visit mandatory for a smooth run.
- 1x Molotov Cocktail: You’re going to want this. Fire is one of the few things that actually hurts Lickers.
- 15x Handgun Ammo: Resources are tight in the facility, and 15 rounds is enough to clear a small hallway of zombies or deal significant damage to a Licker’s weak spot.
Sterilization Chamber Safe Code Location
If you’re the type of player who hates “easy mode” and wants to find the clue yourself, prepare for a stressful hike. The game forces you to push much deeper into the facility than you probably want to go without these supplies.
You actually have to exit the Sterilization Chamber through the south door—which, fair warning, involves navigating around several patches of broken glass that will alert the enemies if you aren’t crouched. Once you’re in the hallway, head toward Bioweapon Repository 02.
This repository is a large, industrial zone filled with thick steam and the sound of dripping pipes, which makes it very hard to hear enemies moving around you.
Then look for this door and take a right from there, make sure to crouch because a licker is patrolling on the ceiling and there are zombies waiting for you in the room.
Once you navigate to the room and clear the zombies, look for an override key. After getting the override key, go back to the Dump Control Room. Throughout the way you will encounter zombies and lickers, you can either try to sneak past them or kill them. And once you reach the Dump Control Room, insert the override key onto the terminal, this will unlock the Magnetic Key that can be used to unlock the Locked Doors.
Navigate back to the save room and use the Magnetic Key to unlock the door. After entering the room, take left and go past the Monitor Control Room.
Navigate through the passage until you get past a flight of stairs, you can see a container with a massive Umbrella Corporation logo. Go inside the container and you will find the files for Sterilization Chamber Safe Code.
Once you read it, the combination is saved to your files, but you still have to backtrack all the way through the Repository and the main hallway. The tension on the return trip is much higher because the Lickers tend to change their patrol patterns once you’ve grabbed the file, making the “shortcut” back to the safe a lot more dangerous than the trip out.
